Recap of the 2010 AnnArbor.com B2B Expo

I’d like to start by thanking everyone who stopped by our booth to say. It was great meeting you!

I met so many “do-ers” and people who are extremely motivated.  Tons of entrepreneurs, managers and decision makers came through and expressed interest in DIY for upcoming projects. Whether we get the business or not, it was an awesome opportunity just to speak and brainstorm.

There was some other pretty cool displays set up, but I really didn’t get a chance to go far from our booth because I was usually talking with someone. So, if you’re out there drop us a line!

Overall, I think it was a great event and wish I could have experienced more. I heard the free seminars were a big hit as well.

Open your doors, customers want in!

This time of year people seem to come out of no where! All of a sudden downtown is buzzing, people are out and about and it seems as though potential customers want to know what they’ve been missing out on all winter long.

So now’s the time to evaluate your signage.  Could it use a “facelift”? Chances are yes and the majority of your signage has probably seen better days. But don’t let an old or ugly sign detour customers from coming in or buying something.

Even if you don’t need all new signs, it would definitely help to supplement your store, restaurant or office with something small. A new wall decal, a small Spring banner, or even some new business cards.

Now’s the time to do something…Spring is in the air!

Spring…has it Sprung?

It’s just been gorgeous out the past week and this weekend! Cruising around with the windows down, people starting to come out from winter hibernation and the sun…I saw the sun!

This got me thinking about Spring and the the new season that’s upon us.  I’m sure you’ll be doing some kind of “Spring Cleaning” either at the office or at home, I think we all do this time of year. Why  not clean up your brand and your corporate image?

Now is a great time to do some new advertising or marketing. Refresh your customers and potential customers on YOU. Have you noticed more smiling faces? The nice weather isn’t the only thing people are talking about these days, isn’t it tax season? Refund checks are coming in and people are doing what they do best; spending! :)

So let this be a bit of advice to simply do something…whether you print some new fliers, create a new digital ad to spread on social networks, or invest in a vehicle wrap as opposed to billboard advertising, just do something!

A busy day at DIY!!

Coming to a convenient store near you!

It’s a busy morning here at DIY as we’re getting ready to roll out a ton of new goodies!  Above is a prototype of an actual floor graphic that will be installed a real size of 15′x8′!

I unpackaged these Absolut/Red Bull posters just for you to see!

Here is a table topper that will be going out with the above posters.

If that’s not enough, here’s an mailbox post we’re doing for Lake Forest.  This is an example of custom sandblasting that we can do.

I’ve gotta get back to the back and get these things shipped out! Let us know what you think of some of the projects we’re finishing up…

Brrrr… It’s Cold out. Get Creative!

Yes, that’s another 6-8 inches of snow out there. We do live in Michigan!

So, how can you take advantage of such a chilling thing like the thought of more snow? How about your company’s custom ice-scrapers, snow brushes or even personalized snow shovels? We can do all that and more here at DIY!
